Who Runs the Sports Ministry?
Volunteers Run the sports ministry under the overall authority of the Pastor of St. John Neumann Catholic Parish.
What is the Goal of the Sports Ministry?
To promote the message of Christ through our actions to ourselves and each other.
How can I help?
We ALWAYS need help coaching and managing teams and recruiting more players. Financial donations are appreciated and can get us better equipment, but not necessary.
What do I need to be a volunteer?
Volunteers need to have patience, complete the required Virtus training, and Patience...did I say patience.
Why do I pay to play sports?
The cost of each sport updates based on 2 factors: the cost to play in the league and the cost of jerseys.
Where does my information go when I sign up?
All info requested is either required to be “on file” for legal reasons or to help us understand our participants. At any time you need to see what is stored specific to you or if you wish to have the data deleted, feel free to reach out to the email listed below.

We play in a gym that has a lot of leftover projects.
Brackets, wires, and conduit that goes no where. Scoreboards that don't work because key parts have been thrown away and floors that are not maintained. We dont even Have a US flag on the wall!

Our plan is to add a crucifix, a US Flag, 2 new scoreboards, 2 new portable basketball hoops and paint additional lines on the court so we can host 2 basketball games games at a time. We also hope to start opening the concession stand during games!
Lets start showing the community how great SJN can be!

Phase 1: Put up banners, a prayer, a US flag, and a Crucifix. - COMPLETE!
Phase 2: Add 2 more portable hoops and lines to the floor to accommodate younger players - hoops are purchased and "Restore the Floor" campaign is under way! ($5k)
Phase 3: Replace 2 scoreboards with ones that work. ($3k)
Phase 4: Team up with KoC to host CYBL basketball games and open concession stand.
Future Goals: Replace bleachers ($55k), Replace winch for hoop ($3k), renovate statice basketball backboards ($7.5k)
